B Side Shuffle Launches New Album Farmalade

This past weekend the funk/rock/reggae band B Side Shuffle threw a party at Tropicalia to celebrate their latest album release, Farmalade. Additionally, attendees were treated to other local talents like Big Country Express, the Relics, and Watermelon.

Lead singer Geoff Browning gave us an early taste of Farmalade and it had us jiving from the beginning. B Side ensembles sensuality and still stages a slick and groovy funk-soul revue. With a sound built on old school funk, new school dance grooves, the Shuffle's infectious funadelic sound had us wanting more.

Farmalade is free to download now on their website for a limited time -- 4 days to be exact. So See what the hype is about and download the album now at www.bsideshuffle.com.

Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Twitter

As we found out last week at our New Year, New Career forum, DC has an unemployment of 8.1%. Ouch! So every week we try to provide a few job openings we find or are provided by our friends. Here are a few jobs on, and off the hill. No internships! http://ift.tt/1cV4akr

Beer: The Upcoming DC Craft Beer Festival

I wanted to let you know about an exciting event coming to the DC Convention Center next month. On Saturday March 8th, The Hand Crafted Tasting Company that puts on the famous New York City Craft Beer Festivals will be hosting their first event in DC.

The upcoming DC Craft Beer Festival will include unlimited tastings of spring seasonals from 75 U.S. breweries, with a special focus on delicious suds from DC, Maryland and Virginia. The festival will have both an afternoon and an evening session, making it easy to plan an awesome weekend around. In addition, there are various ticket options depending on the experience you’re looking for. For just fifty bucks you can sample all of the beers available on the main floor, have access to seminars covering history and brewing methods, and purchase gourmet foods from exclusive DC restaurants while enjoying the beers. An upgrade to VIP or Connoisseur tickets will get you into the festival an hour early, and the Connoisseurs Lounge which will feature rare beers not found on the main tasting room floor, as well as free hors D’Oeuvres.

For complete information, check out the following links:

I plan on attending both sessions to write a full review for ClotureClub.com, so make sure to say hello and have a toast if we run into each other!

Cheers,

Mark

Nobody could have guessed how that game was going to play out. It all fell down hill after the first snap.

Sorry Missy :)
