10 Films We’d Like to See At Screen on the Green

We all enjoy attending outdoor movies in DC. There’s Screen on the Green, Drive-In @ Union Market or NoMa Summer Screen. Here are 10 films we’d like to see!

The Labyrinth

One of my favorite movies as a kid. A fantasy film directed by Jim Henson and produced by George Lucas with the cast of a young Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie.

Tommy Boy

This movie has provided everyone with some classic quotes that always seem to come in handy.

St. Elmo’s Fire

A group of friends, just out of college, struggle with adulthood. Filmed in our own backyard, Georgetown, everyone (and even interns) can relate too.

The Never Ending Story

This movie almost made me want to read books and have flying dragons as pets.

Goonies

For those who never seen this movie before. What’s wrong with you! Did you grow up in a bunker? This Spielberg classic made everyone growing up in the 90s wish they had sidekick friends to go on a treasure hunt with.

Legend (1985)

I’ll admit, Legend scared me as a kid. Devils, Unicorns and princesses, sure throw in Tom cruise.

Dazed and Confused

Not about the ’90s, about the ’70s, but it is a great movie and gave birth to so many careers. Milla Jovovich, Ben Affleck, Jeremy London, more.

Princess Bride

C’mon!! It’s a classic.

Raiders of the Lost Ark

Harrison Ford saving the world. “Snakes! I hate Snakes!”

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

A movie that taught us how to be a rebel.
