In a recent study by Blowfish, a substance cure for hangovers, Washington DC ranks the 5th "state" that consumes the most drinks. Maine, Wyoming, Alaska and Delaware rank higher. We also rank #1 in complaining about our hangovers. Breaking down the political aisle, Republicans prefer Bud Light while Democrats enjoy Blue Moon.
The average (drinking) American says they consume 277 beers a year. This study shows we actually drink close to 819. We here at Cloture Club wonder how high that number would actually be for the district. With the multitude of events, receptions, fundraisers and charities going on in our city, we often wonder how much alcohol really is consumed.
