AirBNB.com is the latest “share” craze. Much like ZipCar, Hertz On Demand, and crowd-funding platforms like Kickstarter, people can now rent out their couch, extra room or even their full apartment for a low price.
With over 1337 places to stay in DC, AirBNB is an alternative place to send your friends or family to. Rather than having them bunk up at your small apartment at eastern market, or a expensive hotel downtown, this website is building a reputation better than Craigslist. Granted, not every AirBnB experience is going to be so top-notch, but here are a few places worth checking out.
